Mike was born in Waco, Texas but moved to Columbus, Texas at the age of 9 where he still lives today. His paternal grandparents were in the sand and gravel business and his maternal grandparents were farmers. While he enjoyed much success in the sand and gravel business, his heart was always drawn to agriculture, especially cattle and “all that that entails”. He enjoyed a rather storied rodeo career riding bucking bulls until it was cut short by a spinal injury. He then began focusing on his several companies – sand and gravel, trucking and cattle ranching as well as having been a representative for more than 25 years for Superior Livestock Auction. Throughout it all, he has always supported our military and was very honored to be asked to serve as a director for the All American Beef Battalion.
