Jon Fort is a Southwest Kansas native and graduate of both Ulysses High School and Fort Hayes State University, where he obtained a degree in Agriculture and met his wife of forty years, Patsy. They moved to the family farm, between Ulysses and Garden City, where they lived and farmed for several years. Jon and Patsy were truly living the dream farming and working with his family while growing theirs with the addition of their son, Devan and daughter, Amber. Farming for nearly a decade, Jon transitioned from farming to establishing a prominent real estate firm. The Forts moved to Garden City where Jon pursued his real estate and broker license and shortly after started his own business, ARC Real Estate. Jon never lost site of his passion for agriculture and incorporated it into his new path. Moving to Garden City was a tough decision, but as Jon always does, he made the best of it. He now owns an extremely successful real estate business in Garden City and has for nearly 30 years.
Throughout the years Jon has been very generous with his time and has volunteered for many community and state programs. Jon rarely turns anyone down when they need something. He currently serves on a variety of Boards at the State level for the Kansas Real Estate Association. For several years he volunteered for the Finney County Rodeo committee where he served as president and received the John Justin Award. Jon currently devotes his time to the All American Beef Battalion helping with planning, organizing and producing steak meals for troops and their families. This organization hits close to home for Jon, as his youngest brother served in the Marines during Dessert Storm. Jon’s generosity and patriotism is contagious in the fact that he now has several friends and family members who serve along side him at many of the troop feeds.
